Kosciusko is home of the Kosciusko Museum
and Information Center, located on the Natchez Trace at mile marker 160.

The museum features a permanent exhibit about Tadeusz Kosciuszko, who
was the first foreign officer to receive a commission from the Continental Congress and to serve in General George Washington's army. He was the military engineer responsible for fortifications
at major battles in the Revolutionary War such as Saratoga, New York. The center also features
revolving exhibits about Kosciusko, the town. It also features brochures and tourism information about Mississippi attractions. The Kosciusko Heritage Foundation - made up of community volunteers - built, funds, and staffs the center.
